Four pictures, three kinds of work

The selection below shows how I see: little set-up, plenty of light, the person in the frame rather than the backdrop.

Weddings

At a wedding I photograph the day as it runs: getting ready, ceremony, drinks, evening. I arrange groups only where a group picture is wanted, and otherwise keep out of the way.

Before the date we go through the schedule and the locations. Afterwards you receive an edited selection as a download, at full resolution and in a web size as well.

Pictures from wedding jobs are shown on request and only with the consent of the people in them.

Portraits

A portrait session runs about an hour. The first quarter of an hour belongs to settling in, and only after that do the pictures you want to keep appear. We shoot in the studio or outdoors, depending on what the picture is for.

The first ten frames are always the stiff ones. That is what they are for.

For applications and profiles I include cropped versions, so nothing needs reworking at your end.

Commercial jobs

For shops in Lucerne I photograph products the way they sit in the shop, not as catalogue goods on white, unless white is what you ask for. For companies I make staff portraits that still match each other a year later.

Tell me in advance where the pictures will appear, in the online shop, in a brochure or on the team page. The crop follows from that.
